A The Walt Disney Company Latin America has just announced that on June 26, 2024, Disney+ will be relaunched with an expanded offering, adding Disney+’s general entertainment content. From this relaunch onwards, subscribers will be able to find the Company’s general entertainment proposal on Disney+ in a new Star section (including titles from Searchlight, 20th Century Studios and FX, as well as original productions entirely created in Latin America), as well as live events. vivo and the offer of ESPN, the most respected and recognized brand by sports fans in the region, in the new ESPN section; in addition to the series, films and documentaries available in the Disney sections, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars e National Geographic.

New subscription plans

In this sense, from June 26th, consumers will be able to choose between three Disney+ subscription plans: Premium, Standard and Standard with Ads. The latter will initially only be available in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia, to be integrated into commercial partner packages.
If Star+ is not available in a specific country in Latin America, then from June 26th, only Disney+ Premium will be available in that territory.

About Disney+ parental controls
Disney+ has parental controls that subscribers can configure to ensure that each profile has an appropriate experience based on the content rating in each territory. Content rated higher than the selected profile will not be displayed when exploring or searching for content. Furthermore:
You can set a 4-digit PIN to restrict others from accessing a specific profile. Once protection for creating profiles is activated, you will always be asked for a password to create a new profile.
Kids profiles (already available and called “Junior Mode” within the platform) feature an easy-to-navigate Disney+ interface that only includes content suitable for all ages.
