Throughout the championship disputes, the partner and home club will choose an NGO to support and will put their shirts up for auction
The “Doe Goals” project, created in 2019 from a partnership between sportv, Centauro and Play For a Cause, is celebrating its sixth year and announced a campaign to mark the beginning of the 2024 actions.
The initiative was created with the purpose of changing the reality of young people and children in situations of social vulnerability through football, with the donation of three pairs of sneakers for every goal scored in Série A of the Brasileirão. Currently, the action has already impacted more than 16 thousand children.
In 2024, the creators are back with the project which, in addition to celebrating six years of its existence, involves a series of social responsibility actions in matches played by partner clubs as hosts of the games. The first “Doe Goals Game” took place this Wednesday (17), during the match between Atlético Mineiro and Criciúma.
During the games, the clubs will choose an NGO to support and will develop actions to benefit it when they host the matches. The players’ uniforms will be printed with a Doe Goals commemorative patch and, after the final whistle, the shirts will go up for auction on the Play For a Cause platform.
In addition to this, another action of the project consists of welcoming children and teenagers from NGOs to matches and the stadiums will be decorated with campaign flags and banners, while the screens will show a video talking about the project.
