Umbro and Approve announced the launch of a collection that combined football tradition with fashion items.
To mark the moment, the brands presented a campaign starring football player Tarcianne, Corinthians defender and Brazilian national team athlete.
The line has 32 products that mix the heritage of sport with the signs of the streetwear brand. In the color palette, the public will find more sober tones that refer to the flag of England, the birthplace of football, such as maroon, blue and off-white. In addition, the pieces also feature references such as coats of arms, lions, crowns and vintage details that also refer to British royalty.
“We are very happy with this union between Umbro and Approve, one of Brazil’s main brands in the lifestyle sector. It is important for us that Umbro shows that its style and trends go beyond the pitch. It’s a partnership that has everything it needs to be a success”, said Eduardo Dal Pogetto, director of Umbro.
Among the items launched with the partnership are training shorts, shirts, football boots, compression tops, pants, accessories, an oversized sweatshirt with removable sleeves and a college jacket.
“The history of Umbro mixes with the history of football, so this collaboration was a childhood dream come true! We were able to create a collection inspired by the sport and even our own jersey and boots. It’s a very special moment for the brand”, he highlighted José Carlos Parra, CEO of Approve.
