With great enthusiasm, the Rap announces the arrival of Tiago Azevedo as the company’s global Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Azevedo has extensive experience in the financial sector, having held leadership positions in large corporations. His expertise in strategic planning, controlling and supply chain will be crucial in guiding and driving Rappi’s growth strategy in Latin America.
Tiago arrives to replace Oscar Herrera, who was the company’s CFO between 2016 and 2024, and has accumulated great achievements in the company, including expansion into new markets and significant and constant increases in the company’s figures, in addition to helping the business during the challenging period of the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, Oscar starts to lead other projects for the company.
Tiago Azevedo served as CFO of Mercado Livre in Brazil between 2018 and 2024 and, before that, led the financial team at Hershey’s Brasil for two years. His journey in finance began at Unilever, where he spent more than 13 years in various roles in Brazil, Chile and the United States.

Rappi’s new global CFO has a degree in Financial Management from the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville, where he won a scholarship for his tennis career and represented the college in Division 1 of the NCAA (association of college sports programs in the USA). He furthered his education with an MBA from NYU – Stern School of Business, specializing in finance. Brazilian, Tiago is excited to work from Rappi’s offices in São Paulo, bringing his experience, character and friendly demeanor to the team.
