Why are Latin Americans so good at playing football? The swing, the dribbling, the skill, the charisma and even the way to celebrate a goal are some of the ingredients that make football stars. The ball is many children’s first toy. And it is the regional peculiarities that make Latin football a breeding ground for new idols. It is with this context that the Free marketLatin sponsor of CONMEBOL club competitions, is launching the ‘Feitos de América Latina’ campaign, which seeks to celebrate the passion and pride of Latin American football.
The film, created by GUT São Paulo, captures the essence of football, highlighting how the sport is an intrinsic part of the culture and lives of Latin Americans. From the ball rolling in the streets or on improvised fields, the film explores the uniqueness and creativity of the region’s players and fans.
“The campaign presents a unique approach by showing how football brings people together, regardless of where they are and within their realities. This plurality is what makes us Latin America. We want to celebrate football as an integral part of our culture and show the world what makes us unique”, explains Iuri Maia, head of Branding at Mercado Livre.
In addition to the film, the campaign will also feature a strategy to expand the conversation in the digital environment, which includes content on the brand’s social networks.
“There is a magic in our football, which materializes in the titles we win and in the stars that emerge from generation to generation. It’s something that comes from our culture, from our worldview. The concept ‘Made of Latin America’ tries to reproduce this feeling. And, of course, no one better than Mercado Livre, the Latin sponsor of CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana, to talk about this properly”, conclude Rafa de Miranda and Rapha Borges, Creative Directors at GUT.
