Journalist was responsible for the agency’s corporate image and the company’s communication strategy
Leonardo Araujo, until then director of corporate communications at Publicis Groupe, left the agency after three years at the company. A journalist by training, the professional was responsible for the agency’s corporate image and the company’s communication strategy, whether external with PR, digital and marketing efforts, or internal with initiatives such as newsletters and announcements.
Leonardo also created initiatives that mixed the world of internal and external communication, such as “PENSEI EM CAPS LOCK”, the agency’s podcast that aimed to interview employees and share valuable insights about their experiences inside and outside the company.
During his leadership, Publicis won important awards, in addition to being elected one of the five most influential agencies on Instagram, according to the Zeen Beachmarking ranking. On the platform, the agency gained almost 15 thousand fans organically during the director’s tenure, currently having almost 54 thousand followers. On LinkedIn, the agency grew from 43 thousand fans and currently has more than 84 thousand followers. The growth of both profiles was organic.
In June 2023, Leonardo was promoted to reputation director, expanding his role to take care of communications for all of the Group’s agencies, including Talent, DPZ, Leo Burnett, LePub and Publicis Brasil itself. Under his leadership, the communications team conducted, led and assisted in various press communications for clients such as Honda, Bradesco, Carrefour, Nestlé, Heineken, Disney, P&G, Sanofi, among others.
In addition to his work in communications, Leonardo played an important role as sponsor of PWR, the Publicis Groupe collective of black people, highlighting his commitment to diversity and inclusion within the organization. This commitment was reinforced when the executive registered the ENTRE program, from the Publicis Brasil agency, as a competitor for the Human Rights and Diversity Seal, granted by the Municipal Secretariat for Human Rights and Citizenship of São Paulo.
