Launching from May 7th, the production has 5 episodes
The documentary series ‘Invisible World of Gamers’ portrays the journey of 5 young gamers who divide their attention between personal life, challenges and screens. The production has 5 episodes that will be released on Tuesdays, starting May 7th.
Co-produced by Pródigo Filmes and Warner Bros. Discovery, the series follows the routine of Cherrygumms (Nicolle Merhy), Nativa (Patrick Natividade), Paty Landim, Sher (Sher Machado) and Kami (Gabriel Bohm), who share the dream of living in the world of games.
“It’s a series about characters. By stitching together their contradictions and similarities, we arrive at a snapshot of the world of these gamers. The series also shows what they think and feel when they turn off their screens. This dive allowed us to bring in other layers beyond the virtual”, he says Daniel Klajmic, series director.
The first episode, titled “Não É Só um Joguinho”, portrays the lives and intimacy of these players and influential figures in Brazilian eSports. In “Origins”, the second episode, they share their relationship with their family, the beginning of their career and the moment they saw that their lives would no longer be the same.
The third episode, “One for All”, is about how young people deal with new challenges and enjoy the fruits of their efforts, whether in the virtual or in the real world. The fourth episode, “Mental Games”, is a dive into the consequences of fame and how hate, exposure, cancellation and mental health come into play in the lives of players. The last episode, “Futuro do Futuro”, addresses professional challenges, insecurities and desires for the future.
