The Mexican unicorn Kavak is the new sponsor of the CBF, the Brazilian Football Confederation, and becomes part of the team of partner brands of the Brazilian men’s, women’s and youth teams. The action complements the strategy of the startup, which arrived in the country in the middle of last year, to strengthen its presence. It currently operates in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
The partnership was signed this Wednesday (23) and will already be in effect in the next round of the team in the Qualifiers of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, when Brazil faces Chile.
According to Roger Laughlin, co-founder and CEO of Kavak in Brazil, as the brand was born in Latin America, where football is a common element between cultures, the company seeks to unite two passions: sport and cars, which are assets of the startup’s business. . “We sponsored the Argentine and Mexican teams and now we are joining the Brazilian team, victorious in the region in several competitions”.
Throughout the year, the company promises a series of activations to position the brand according to the selection schedule. In addition, they must use team symbols, such as the famous Canarinho, both in physical stores and in digital environments and at events. The bus of the main Brazilian Men’s Team will also be stickered with the new sponsor.
