Called Uber on Avenida, the action will take place in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Salvador
The street carnival was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, but Uber found a way for the party to reach customers.
From February 24th to 28th, some users from Rio de Janeiro and Salvador will be able to receive a trip in a fully costumed car for a parade on the avenue.
“We know how desperate Brazilians are for a Carnival, but safety comes first, inside and outside Uber,” said Luciana Ceccato, Uber’s Marketing Director in Brazil. “It will be a possible Carnival, without agglomeration, with masks different from the ones we would prefer to be using, with alcohol gel instead of glitter, but still with the good mood, color and relaxation that Brazilians love and miss”, he added. .
Users who receive one of the cars will be notified that they will participate in this special trip and the price of the trip will be the same as that charged for an Uber X trip.
In addition to the themed trip, users will also receive the Carnival Kit possible in their cars, containing a hat, bandana, protective mask and gel alcohol.
