The latest release of Corinthians e Nike, they were the shirts for the 2024 season. The shirts arrived together with a strong campaign, ‘Our history is a black page’, which is promoting various actions to combat racism.
The campaign film stars former player Wladimir, singer and rapper Negra Li, athletes from the current cast Wesley, Raniele, Yasmim and Ju Ferreira, former player Grazi, and student Anna Beatriz, thus representing black protagonism of different generations in the club’s history.
Predominantly white, the new main shirt features gradient details from white to black on the sleeves and hem of the shirt. The second uniform features a “blackout” pattern, completely black. The inside of the collar has a seal with the anti-racist writing “We Are Together and Mixed”.

But it wasn’t just among fans that the shirt stood out. Lu, from Magalu, also guaranteed the news. For the first time, Lu, with 6.9 million followers on Instagram, wears a t-shirt from a Brazilian football club, in addition to the Brazilian national team, to declare his support for the anti-racist cause. In a post on her Instagram account (@magazineluiza), she appears wearing the new Corinthians jersey.
The initiative is the result of action by Netshoes, the Magalu group’s sports e-commerce. The design of the new shirt features typography created by designer and art director Giulia Fagundes. Inspired by the rich Adinkras symbols of Ghanaian origin, the font used in the players’ names and numbers reflects African culture while dialoguing with Afrofuturism.
Actions to combat racism promoted by Corinthians
- Racial literacy sessions for athletes and employees, in partnership with the Football Racial Discrimination Observatory (ODRF);
- ‘Fighting Racism in Football’ booklet, material that will serve as a reference for actions with fans throughout the year;
- Notice that will include 20 young black people with full scholarships for the FESPSP administration course, which will feature subjects focused on the sports market, in collaboration with CIEE.
The ‘Our history is a black page’ campaign is a collective call for the anti-racist fight.
