Get ready to embark on an enchanted journey through the poetic and philosophical universe of ‘The Little Prince’! The magic of the stars now meets the vibrant scenery of São Paulo (SP) in this unique exhibition, which will transport visitors of all ages to the pages of this timeless classic from May 23rd.
Combining the essence of the story that captivated hearts around the world with stunning scenery, the exhibition is much more than a simple literary exhibition, it is a deep immersion into a world of adventure, reflection and discovery. Pre-registration is now available on official site.
Created from the union between the agencies V3A and SRCOM, the cultural platform Living Books, now takes this project to São Paulo that proposes the redefinition of the market and consumption of literature in Brazil. The initiative was born in 2023 to awaken enchantment and promote new public connections with classic literary works, through traveling exhibitions that will provide immersive experiences, materializing famous literary stories and characters.
‘Pegadas do Pequeno Príncipe’ is presented by PRIO, the largest independent oil company in Brazil, and is sponsored by the Vale Cultural Institute and Mapfre Seguros through the Federal Culture Incentive Law.
Abel Gomes, partner and creative VP at SRCOM, celebrates the partnership that inaugurates a new model of experiences in the Brazilian market.
“Immersive exhibitions are truly incredible, they connect people, touch the heart and provide exciting new experiences. It’s wonderful to see how they can positively impact people’s lives. This is the power of entertainment”, says the executive.
More than offering a new way to consume literary works, Living Books transforms book pages into tangible and memorable experiences.
“We will surprise, delight and ensure that, through sensorial exposures, the experience of the stories is capable of awakening in the reader that feeling of having finished the best book of their life. Only this time, live and sharing the moment with family and friends”, highlights Ana Paula Oliveira, head of brand for the Living Books platform.
The exhibition ‘Footprints of the Little Prince’ is curated by Dr. Mônica Cristina Corrêa, Brazil’s leading expert on the subject. With the competence and passion that characterize her, Mônica brings an expert look to the exhibition, revealing details and nuances that enrich the visitors’ experience, making it an unforgettable journey through the world of Pequeno Príncipe.
“Walking through the exhibition, the public will be able to rediscover the work following in the footsteps of the little prince, which are also those of its author. A fascinating and rich world of knowledge and beauty that makes it clear why The Little Prince turns 80 without aging and promising to be in fashion in another 80”, explains Mônica.
Throughout his 80 years, the Little Prince gained a legion of admirers who have lived in the hero’s learning and footsteps throughout their lives. For these fans, the exhibition will be an opportunity to delve into every detail of the work alongside those they love and learn more about the life of the brilliant Antoine Saint-Exupéry.
With a total of ten rooms, the public begins their visit to the exhibition by taking a journey through the universe of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. In a reproduction of the author’s office, the visitor will feel the atmosphere of the beginning of the last century through the furniture, soundtrack, costumes, personal objects and the writer’s drafts, right down to the pages of the book.
Striking references from the work, from the author’s travels in Brazil, from moments that talk about the pure look that only children have, such as the lesson about the Hat, the Elephant and the Boa and The Sheep Inside the Box, are present in the rooms following.
In the asteroid room, the public will interact with each planet and its residents, visited by the little hero before his arrival in the desert. The desert, by the way, is another place that will be explored by visitors in a room with textures and the installation of the Breguet-14, one of the planes used by the author throughout his life. Saint-Exupéry’s look at caring for the planet features a room with scenes of Earth in 360º projections.
“By immersing visitors in an interactive and immersive world, carefully conceived design elements come together with technology to convey profound teachings in a captivating way, enriching the mind while delighting the senses”, says Felipe Reif, partner at Deeplab Project, co-director of the exhibition .
‘Footprints of the Little Prince’ will unite the literary and entertainment segments in the same chapter, in an unprecedented way.
“We believe that access to culture is a powerful way to contribute to the social and intellectual development of our society. And, over the years, we have dedicated ourselves to supporting projects that promote inclusion and access to knowledge for everyone. Therefore, we are proud to be partners in this innovative initiative, which combines literature with sensory arts to democratize culture and move the public in a unique way”, highlights Gabriel Hackme, manager of Incentive Projects and Sponsorships at PRIO.
Project celebrates 80 years since the launch of the work and will have part of the proceeds donated to Hospital Pequeno Príncipe
In addition to celebrating the 80th anniversary of the first edition of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s work ‘Footprints of the Little Prince’, it has another noble purpose: to give back to society, allocating 10% of the box office proceeds to the renowned Hospital Pequeno Príncipe, the most recognized hospital exclusively pediatric clinic in the country, located in Curitiba, Paraná.
