From February 24th to 28th, Uber users will be able to be surprised with a themed trip in honor of the street blocks and parades of Carnival, which were postponed in 2022 due to Covid-19 restrictions. When requesting a trip, some users from the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Salvador may receive a trip in a completely costumed car for a parade on the avenue.
“We decided to give a taste of Carnival to some of our users from two of the most carnival-like cities in Brazil. It will be a possible Carnival, without agglomeration, with different masks from the ones we would prefer to be using, with alcohol gel instead of glitter, but still with the good mood, color and relaxation that Brazilians love and miss”, says Luciana. Ceccato, Marketing Director at Uber in Brazil.
Users who receive one of the cars will be notified that they will participate in this special trip. The price of the trip will be the same as that charged for an Uber X trip and the lucky users will still receive in the cars the possible Carnival Kit, containing a hat, bandana, protective mask and gel alcohol. If you want to take a normal trip, you can cancel free of charge.
#RespectÉRule and Uber
Even with the cancellation of the main parties, the company will reinforce its educational content against harassment, developed in partnership with MeToo Brasil and Potência Diversa. Partner drivers and users will be invited to rewatch the videos from the #RespeitoÉRule campaign, which warns of behaviors that are not tolerated on the platform.
