One of the biggest events in the global advertising sector, the Gramado World Advertising Festival announced a new format for its 24th edition. Originally planned to take place entirely in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul, between May 22nd and 24th, the event will now feature part of the program online and part in person in São Paulo (SP), on the campus of ESPM, a reference school in Marketing and Business-oriented innovation.
“After a careful assessment and reflection on the challenges posed by the recent tragedies in Rio Grande do Sul, we came to the conclusion that it would not be possible to hold the event in the traditional way this year. However, we are committed to maintaining our mission of turning ideas into real impacts, adapting our activities to continue supporting the community and flood victims. In this sense, the festival will adopt an innovative format, diluting the experiences we would have over the three days in meetings throughout the year”, explains Andressa Martins, CEO of the Festival.
This Wednesday (22), the event will feature a meeting of speakers focused on the production of content on ‘Communication in Times of Crisis’, with the participation of figures such as Gabi Lopes, actress, producer and content creator; Florence Scappini, ice-president of Sales at OLX; Pipo Calazans, CEO of DM9; Leonardo Moura, founder of Branded Content Brazil; and Adriana Alves, director of Members Borders at FIESP. This content will be made available in real time on the festival’s Reels, with the aim of raising funds for flood victims.
On Thursday (23), ESPM São Paulo will host three face-to-face workshops aimed at its students and a Globo Promo Exhibition, open to the public upon prior registration using the online form. The workshops will address topics relevant to the advertising market, providing a practical and enriching educational experience.
The traditional Galo de Gramado Award, which celebrates excellence in the creative industry and which is traditionally held on the last day of the event, will be awarded in a special ceremony at the end of the year, with a location and date to be defined. Registration for the award remains open and can be done via official website of the award.
