With an investment of R$80 million, the new terminal promises private lounges and direct transport to the plane.
Guarulhos airport, located in the state of São Paulo, is about to gain a new terminal that promises to bring a new boarding and disembarking experience in Latin America. Scheduled to debut in the second half of the year, the Terminal BTG Pactual introduces an innovative concept, without queues and with a personalized experience for passengers.
Located close to Terminal 3, the BTG Terminal occupies an area of 5 thousand square meters with an exclusive entrance. Passengers will have access to all stages, from check-in to inspection by the Federal Police and Customs, without needing to access other terminals. A car will take users to the plane upon boarding and wait for them upon arrival, providing a unique experience.
The service will be offered on a pay-per-use model, aimed at commercial aviation passengers in all classes: first, business and economy. Users can schedule the service 72 hours in advance via site. The initial cost is US$590 (around R$3.04 thousand at current prices) with discounts of up to 20% for BTG Pactual customers.
The project, which received an investment of R$80 million from a private capital fund managed by BTG Pactual, marks the bank’s entry into the airport sector.
Passenger Experience
The terminal will feature private lounges, runway-facing meeting rooms and meeting areas. The architectural project, developed by Perkins&Will, stands out for its minimalist design, with the use of wood and natural light.
In the future, two suites will be opened for passengers looking for comfort and privacy between connections. Gastronomy will also be a highlight, with à la carte dishes and menus designed by renowned chefs.
Fabio Camargo, an executive with extensive experience in the aviation sector, was hired to lead the new venture. According to him, airlines are invested in the passenger experience from boarding, but there is still potential for improvements before that moment.
Scheduled to open in the second half of the year, the BTG Pactual Terminal expects to receive around 36 thousand users in the first year, with greater demand from businesspeople, executives and passengers on special occasions.
