Daniel Cecconello takes on the role of Andre Passamani and will work alongside Décio Freitas, COO of the operation
Mutato announced that its partner and, until then, CMO, Daniel Cecconello, will assume the position of CEO of the operation. He will work alongside Décio Freitas, COO, and will replace Andre Passamani, who founded the agency in 2012 with Eduardo Camargo, who left the operation in June 2023.
“Mutato has always operated as an innovation hub focused on promoting conversations and actions with socio-cultural impact. This vision was established in a pioneering and very successful way by the founding partners and propagated within the company. Now, Daniel and Décio’s mission is to go one step further and think of new ways to create relevance for brands among a very fragmented audience”, said Stefano Zunino, CEO of the VML Group and country manager at WPP in Brazil.
In addition to this, the company also announced the hiring of professionals such as Felipe Muller, ex-Mynd and Spark, who assumed the role of executive director of strategy in March; and Dindi Coelho, who started his career at Mutato and returns to the company as VP of Creation.
According to Passamani, the succession occurred naturally. “Daniel and Décio carry the company’s culture in their blood. They are co-responsible for building a solid brand and an operation that has always sought to challenge market models. We created Mutato together and with many hands over the last ten years”, he explained.
Mutato’s front line today also includes Tulio Tavanielli, director of process design; Andre Simões, head of media; and Heloisa Viana, financial director.
