Event held by the Brazilian Association for the Production of Audiovisual Works (Apro), took place at the BETC Havas Café, in São Paulo
Apro (Brazilian Association for the Production of Audiovisual Works) held another APRO Talks, which for the first time since the pandemic was in person. The event brought together big names in the audiovisual market on May 16th, at BETC Havas Café, in São Paulo, for panels on copyright and its applications in digital media, AI in audiovisual productions and the 2024 Olympics and rights management in sport.
The meeting was supported by Getty Images and offered an afternoon of exclusive lectures to discuss important points about the challenges and trends in the sector. The first panel’s theme was “Clarification of Copyright and its Applications in Digital Media”, mediated by Bia Ambrongi, president of APRO+SOM and with the participation of Monyca Motta, lawyer specialized in Entertainment Law, and Dudu Marote, producer musician with over 30 years of experience, who has collaborated with artists such as Skank, BaianaSystem and Emicida.
Next, the topic “AI in Audiovisual Production” was mediated by Mateus Basso, a lawyer specializing in Copyright Law, Intellectual Property, Entertainment Law, Media and Advertising, and responsible for APRO’s legal department. Among the professionals present were Boca Ceravolo, award-winning director and co-founder of LADO Animation, AiR and Nylon; Domenico Massareto, founder of RAIN and winner of more than 40 awards at Cannes; Henrique Fabretti, lawyer and master’s student in Law and Technology at FGV, and Guilherme Carboni, specialist in Intellectual Property and Technology.
To end the day, Verônica Raad, New Business Manager at Getty Images with more than 30 years of experience in the advertising market, led the panel “2024 Olympics & Rights Management in Sport”, alongside Daniel Barcellos, senior research editor for Brazil, Latin America and North America since 2018, assisting clients with research requests and approvals.
The event ended with a celebration, guests and participants gathered for a happy hour in the stylish BETC Havas Café space.
