While Rio Grande do Sul faces the biggest climate catastrophe in its history, Sport Club International, a traditional football club from Rio Grande do Sul, had to return to the field to complete the round for the Copa Sudamericana. The team, which faced Belgrano, from Argentina, at Arena Barueri last Tuesday (28), had to resume its schedule even away from the fans and, despite the field command, outside the state, as Beira-Rio has not yet recovered from the floods.
Due to the entire situation, the club took advantage of the game to focus attention on the situation that Rio Grande do Sul faces and the importance of aid for the reconstruction of the state. The team entered the field wearing uniforms printed especially for the game, resembling mud stains. To make the initiative possible, Inter had the support of Grupo Bloom, a Brazilian company specializing in digital printing solutions, a technique that allows the manufacture of pieces like those used, in a few hours.
Fellipe Sanchez, CEO of Grupo Bloom, said that the possibility of supporting the action and giving visibility to Rio Grande do Sul motivated the company to donate the service.
“What is happening in the state of Rio Grande do Sul concerns all Brazilians and is a true tragedy. When we were approached to join this movement, we felt honored with the mission of printing the uniform of this traditional and respected club. The action shows the public that this calamity situation is not over yet and that we need to come together and support the reconstruction of the state”, says Sanchez.
The production of the uniforms took place at Texperience, a Bloom Group space dedicated to on-demand digital printing productions. Nationally recognized brands, such as Reserva, use the structure to make prints, without having to invest in their own infrastructure for production.
Digital printing is developed with machines and quick-drying technology, which maintains vivid and durable colors, carrying out the entire process in a few hours. In addition to avoiding waste, it is a technique that provides production in line with sales, without brands needing prior stock.
The action shirts, which were developed in partnership with the HOC agency, were signed by the players and will be available in a virtual auction, with 100% of the profits going towards helping with the reconstruction of Rio Grande do Sul.
