The shirt’s design includes elements of the band, such as skateboarding, and a message about CBJR’s cultural impact.
To show that “Shirt 10 Plays Ball Even in the Rain” really, the UmbrianBritish clothing and sporting goods brand, the Santos soccer club and the band Charlie Brown Jr. came together once again to launch the new mantle of the beach-based black and white team.
The shirt, in addition to honoring the club, shows “How Everything Should Be” and pays homage to the history of the band, born in the city that gives the team its name, both in its design and in its sale.
Check out the limited edition shirt and its main details below:
The new model, sold in black and gold, features the band’s name prominently in the center and drawings representing a skateboarder, an element closely associated with the band, spread across the shirt, including on the collar, sleeves and on the Santos badge itself.
In addition, the shirts feature a label, with an exclusive number (ranging from 1 to 1992) and the following text: “Chorão and Charlie Brown Jr. represent an authentic and rebellious voice. Inspiration for young people who felt marginalized or challenged by social norms, showing that it was possible to channel anger and passion into something creative and meaningful. Chorão proved that music can transcend barriers and unite people based on shared experiences. His impact on the Brazilian music scene and youth culture is undeniable and eternal. “Only what is good lasts long enough to become unforgettable.”
To mark this tribute, the novelty is a collector’s model, which will only have 1992 units produced, in reference to the year in which the musical group was created.
This will be Santos’ last production in partnership with the band founded by Chorão, Champignon, Marcão, Thiago and Pelado. Since 2022, the collection that combined street fashion, popular among skateboarders, and the football team has quickly become popular. The line, which included shorts, caps, bucket hats, tank tops, socks and sweatshirts, was widely embraced by fans, CBJR fans and residents of the Santos region.

To the sound of ‘Dias de Luta, Dias de Glória’, the collection featured a special video that would make any fan of the band (like me) get emotional. Watch below:
Umbro director, Eduardo Dal Pogetto, celebrated the launch of the new shirt, highlighting the strong connection between the band, the city of Santos and vocalist Chorão’s favorite team.
As a native of the city of Santos, an avid fan of Charlie Brown Jr. and of skateboarding since childhood, the editor who writes to you, despite supporting another black and white, can confirm the connection mentioned by the director of Umbro for having fallen in love with the models that pay homage, in style, to what the band and the team represent for the caiçaras of Baixada Santista.
