Eduardo Zanelato will be responsible for the agency’s communication strategy and relationship work with the press and the market
VML Brasil announced the arrival of Eduardo Zanelato as the agency’s new head of corporate communications.
In his new role, he will be responsible for defining the communications strategy and leading the WPP agency’s relationship work with the press and the market.
“We are living in a unique moment at VML Brasil, which is consolidating itself as one of the largest agencies in the country and the largest creative network in the world. In this context of rapid transformation, we have a very robust offer and many stories to tell. Edu will have a role important in this process, strategically supporting us in the consolidation of this brand and connecting us with the market at key moments”, said Karina Ribeiro, CEO of VML Brasil.
A journalist by training, Zanelato has a master’s degree in innovation, creativity and leadership from Bayes Business School (London) and, before arriving at VML, he created and headed the Brand PR & Influence center at Ágora.
“Communication work plays a fundamental role in aligning the long-term vision with the agency’s speech to the market and also to the internal public. Returning to WPP at this key moment in VML’s positioning promises to be a very rich and full journey of learning”, said Zanelato.
Throughout his career, Zanelato worked in vehicles, agencies and spent six years at Mutato, which is part of the VML Group, where he led the Culture and Communication area and structured the DE&I work until assuming the role of Executive Director of Operations. Since 2021, he has been an advisor to the Observatory of Diversity in Advertising (ODP), of which he is co-founder.
