A ASICS se une à marca brasileira Olympikus in favor of Rio Grande do Sul in the solidarity race ‘Corri pelo RS’. The action will offer physical medals to participants who contribute R$75.00 and complete the course in free distance.
With the aim of helping the Rio Grande do Sul community after the floods that occurred in the state, the initiative was created by Sergio Rocha, from the Youtube channel Corrida no Ar, and has the support of other channels such as Tênis Certo, Mania de Corrida, Canal Corredores , Perfect Race, Julia Sette, among others.
“This is another opportunity to contribute significantly to the state’s recovery, as ASICS has responded with agility and resolve to this challenge, providing comprehensive support and assistance. This includes local measures to assist our employees in the region, as well as donation initiatives and collections of essential products”, commented Constanza Novillo, Marketing Director at ASICS Latin America.
The Solidarity Race has registration costs of R$75.00, which includes a physical medal. In addition to this option, participants can register for R$25.00 or R$50.00 and receive a virtual medal. The project’s goal is to raise R$500,000, requiring at least 7,000 subscribers to reach it. All income obtained will be donated to Rio Grande do Sul through Vakinha do Badin.

To win the medal, the race must be held on the 15th and 16th of June, the weekend in which the Porto Alegre Marathon was supposed to take place, but which was postponed until September due to the floods. After proving the free distance, using a GPS watch, running app or treadmill, you will need to pay the additional cost of sending the physical medal by mail.
