The channel Team Brazil on YouTube, managed by Brazilian Olympic Committee, reached 300 thousand subscribers and reached the mark of 80 million views. The purpose of the profile is to show the daily lives of Brazilian athletes in the most varied modalities and carries out productions that involve behind the scenes, information, curiosities, lives, best moments and live broadcasts.
Among the events already broadcast on the channel are the Pan American Games in Santiago 2023, the Gymnastics World Cup, the World Judo Circuit and the Diamond League, the main athletics circuit on the planet. Furthermore, more than 40 national championships per year are broadcast on the player.
In 2024 alone, the profile managed by COB had more than 11 million views on its YouTube account and gained 41 thousand new subscribers.
Currently, Team Brasil’s channel is number 1 in the world among the committees belonging to the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), in Portuguese Association of National Olympic Committees. Team USA, second place, for example, has 254 thousand. Another relevant fact is that, in 2023, COB reached more than 40 million views, including data from live broadcasts and on-demand videos.
In 2024, of the five most watched videos, two are from artistic gymnastics, two from rhythmic gymnastics and one from athletics. The content that received the most attention from audiences is a short made with boys from Flamengo’s artistic gymnastics base. In it, young athletes show their skills in the sport by doing somersaults and showing off some techniques. The cuteness of the kids also holds the title of the channel’s most watched content in its entire history so far, with 2.2 million views.
Following this, two performances by the Brazilian team at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup appear in second and third place with 244.3 thousand and 199.1 thousand views, respectively. The gold won by Alison dos Santos in the 400m hurdles at the Diamond League Doha (187 thousand) and Caio Souza’s gold at the Pan-American Artistic Gymnastics Championship (148.7 thousand) complete the ranking.
Considering the channel’s entire period, the second video with the most views is by Brazilian and global star, Rebeca Andrade. In fact, it also occupies third position. One of the contents refers to her presentation at the Gymnastics World Cup, in 2022, when she was champion, the video totaled 1.8 million views. The second was during the 2023 Pan American Games, when his gold win earned 950,000 views.
Fourth place, in turn, belongs to the gold won by Ingrid Oliveira in diving, when she jumped from the 10m platform, in 2022, for the Brazil Trophy. Fifth place goes to the live broadcast of the gold medal dispute between Brazil and Argentina, in men’s volleyball, at the Pan-American Games in Santiago 2023. The Brazilian title earned the channel 911 thousand views.
