Ranking is organized by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation
BETC Havas was recognized as one of the “Best Companies for LGBTQIA+ People to Work For” in the ranking organized by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation in partnership with Instituto Mais Diversidade and the Business and LGBTI+ Rights Forum.
The third edition of the survey “HRC Equidade BR Best Companies for LGBTQIA+ People to Work” evaluated the equity and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people in workplaces in Brazil.
“The certification recognizes our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. We believe that coexistence with differences and care for the collective results in a more tolerant, respectful and creative environment. We value diversity in all its forms and promote opportunities through our transversal initiatives. We want to be a reference for good practices within the advertising market, encouraging other agencies to do the same”, says Larissa Lacerda, chief people officer at BETC Havas.
BETC Havas has a diversity area that is part of the HR department that carries out actions on inclusive culture and has a representative and active diversity, equity and inclusion committee, which created affinity groups and also “Among Us”, which holds meetings for social groups within the agency to share experiences and develop connections. It also includes the creation of internal policies against harassment and discrimination and the promotion of diversity and inclusion, which organize the use of social names and formalize rules against discriminatory practices. In addition to ensuring the offer of affirmative vacancies and the maintenance of #Diversité, an exclusive talent pool for underrepresented audiences and Bold.Us, the agency’s internship program, which in its first edition hired 33% of LGBTQIA+ people.
The agency is also a signatory to the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), an initiative of the UN Global Compact and UN Women, and supports the Advertising Diversity Observatory (ODP).
