Since 2020, Havaianas has stood out for its commitment to diversity and inclusion through the Havaianas Pride line. The brand donates 7% of sales of these products to the NGO All Out, a global movement defending LGBTQIAPN+ rights in Brazil and around the world. With more than 2.7 million products sold, the initiative has already raised more than R$4.7 million.
In 2023, the impact of the partnership continued to yield results, enabling the implementation of several essential projects for the community, both in Brazil and internationally, generating a transfer of R$665 thousand to the organization.
“Havaianas’ support for the NGO All Out has significantly increased our work for LGBTQIAPN+ communities. Despite these challenging times, we are simultaneously seeing communities achieving rights, safety and dignity, and people from all over the world taking action to make this possible. Thanks to Havaianas and its Pride line, which contains more than 20 products, we have more support and structure to continue mobilizing people and making a difference in the lives of these communities,” says Ana Clara Toledo, Senior Campaign Manager at All Out in Latin America.
Among the global actions carried out last year with the funds transferred by Havaianas, the Pride in Welcoming campaign in Brazil stands out, which collected 70 thousand signatures to demand that the government create specific public policies to support LGBTQIAPN+ shelters, resulting in the creation of the national Acolhe+ program in December, with an impact across the country. In addition, more than 150 thousand All Out members participated in a campaign to defend Zahra Sedighi-Hamadani and Elham Choubdar, two activists for gender equality in Iran who, thanks to this mobilization, had their death sentences overturned.
Since last year, Brazil has also continued to celebrate historic victories for the LGBTQIAPN+ community. The Casa Resistências for lesbian and bisexual women, in the Maré Complex, was able to pay the down payment for its own space with funds raised in an All Out campaign. The 1st National Trans Visibility March was also a milestone, with more than 7,000 signatures in solidarity with trans, non-binary and transvestite people, culminating in the creation of a 15-meter Trans Pride flag, which is now part of the collection of the National Congress Museum.
All Out’s actions include many other ongoing initiatives, which can be followed on the organization’s website. And to continue enhancing this work, the Havaianas Pride line remains in the brand’s portfolio. With launches throughout the year, the complete collection already has more than 20 products available, including clothing, footwear, socks and accessories, bringing visibility to the needs of this audience and supporting initiatives around the world, in partnership with All Out. The products are available in physical stores and at the brand’s Digital Flagship, in addition to 53 other countries.
