In addition to being among the jury presidents, Brazil will have three representatives among the 24 jurors who will decide the prizes for the finalist pieces at the 55th edition of the Ibero-American Festival of Creativity (FIAP) 2024. Judging of the entries will begin in August, with the winners scheduled to be announced on October 5, in a virtual event broadcast from Miami. The in-person trophy presentation ceremony will take place on November 6, during Advertising Week LatAm (AWLATAM), in Mexico City.
Meet the names that will be part of the jury:
- Joanna Monteiro: has won over 200 international awards, including 38 Cannes Lions awards, including Grand Prix in Mobile, LIA, D&AD, Clio and The One Show, among others. In 2014, she was named ‘Woman of the Year’ by Advertising Age, ‘The World’s Number 1 Creative Woman’ by Business Insider, ‘Top 5 Most Awarded Creative Directors in the World’ by Big Won Report, and was the only Brazilian on Ad Age’s ‘Creativity 50’;
- Denise Gallo: has been one of the leaders of GALERIA.ag since its founding in 2021. She has also worked in the entertainment industry, at two of Brazil’s leading media companies, Globo and Bandeirantes. In advertising, she has led the creative department at Natura, a Brazilian multinational beauty company, for over a decade, at agencies such as Peralta, DPZ and, now, at GALERIA.ag itself. With her global campaigns for the brand, Gallo has won the Effie, TV Globo and CCSP Professionals of the Year awards, in addition to recognition from UN Women’s Alliance Without Stereotypes;
- Geraldo Rocha Azevedo: has almost 40 years of experience in the advertising market, starting his career at Ogilvy, where he worked in New York for three years. In Brazil, he founded RochaAzevedo, one of the largest and most awarded promotional marketing agencies in the country, with offices in São Paulo (SP), Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Santiago, Chile. After the sale of the company, he bought a stake in NeogamaBBH, serving as partner and co-president. The agency was sold to Publicis Groupe in 2011, when the then executive had to serve a non-compete, and went on to work as director of T4f, the largest live entertainment company in South America. Since 2017, he has been in charge of Execution. Geraldo was also the founder and first president of AMPRO, elected three times as businessman of the year and won more than 100 national and international awards.
In this edition, FIAP remains committed to its four pillars: Formats, Innovation, Advertising and Production, with the innovative inclusion of a special category dedicated to Artificial Intelligence in each of them.
