The second stage of the I ♥ PRIO Dream Tour Vila Velha – ES, which represents the Main Division of the Brazilian Surfing Confederation (CBSurf), stands out not only for the competitions between the national surfing elite, but also for the movement of the most diverse regions of the country where it passes. With activations that range from shows during the competition window to social and environmental actions, the event attracts big brands that believe in the potential of the sport in the country.
A PRIOthe largest independent oil and gas company in Brazil, holds the Circuito’s Apresenta share and the naming rights in Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro. Aegea, one of the largest private sector sanitation companies in the country, is the newest Master Sponsor of the Circuito dos Sonhos. Both brands invest in sustainable and well-being initiatives for participants, visitors and communities in the regions where the event takes place.
Among the long-standing sponsors, Corona Cero remains as Master Sponsor of all stages during the 2024 season, while Gerdau also maintains its support for the Brazilian Surf Circuit. In the second stage of this year, held at Praia do Buraco, in Vila Velha (ES), Sesc Espírito Santo will be the local supporter of the event, offering benefits for the athletes, internal team and public present, and PRIO will provide an exclusive area for the competitors, with food, space for warming up and showers. In addition, the brand promotes PRIO Sessions, a sunset with local musical attractions, with the Macucos show being the highlight of this edition.
“Inspired by high-performance athletes, PRIO promotes well-being inside and outside the company. We are very happy to be able to give our name and our heart to the Dream Tour in the 2024 season. We compare our team to high-performance athletes, who have discipline, willpower, courage and focus on results, and that is why we connect so much with surfing. We love sports, and just like the athletes who will give their all throughout the championship, we also want to leave our mark and our positive legacy”, explains Olivia Richardson, Head of Marketing and Communications at PRIO.
The company has four oil fields in operation in the Campos Basin, in Rio de Janeiro, and from this year it will begin developing its fifth field, now in Espírito Santo. The company’s support for the biggest award in national surfing is through the I ♥ PRIO sponsorship platform.
“OI ♥ PRIO is not just sponsorship: it is our commitment to give back to society with a series of transformative initiatives. In two years, our platform has evolved to encompass more than 40 projects focused on culture, sports and socio-educational development,” adds Olivia.
Also in this second stage, the Aegea Institute, responsible for Aegea’s socio-environmental initiatives, carries out important activations, including the Onda Azul action in partnership with the UN Global Compact’s Blue Keepers project – Rede Brasil, focused on combating waste in the ocean through awareness and clean-up campaigns.
Another initiative of the new Master Sponsor is the Dream Tour das Comunidades, a social championship in relay format that promotes collectivity and team spirit. The event involves children, teenagers and young people from local institutions and social projects, who compete alongside professional athletes for an exclusive prize that benefits their institutions.
“The participation of the Aegea Institute as a sponsor of the Dream Tour is in line with our platform of initiatives in favor of the ocean. We are part of the United Nations Decade of the Oceans, so this action is part of the global effort, but also of the other social and environmental initiatives that we develop in the locations where we operate. In this initiative, we bring together two themes that are very relevant to Aegea, which are the relationship with local communities and the appreciation of our most precious asset, water. We also value our support for the Blue Keepers project, from the UN Global Compact’s Platform for Action on Water and the Ocean – Rede Brasil, which engages companies, governments and society in the fight against chronic pollution of the oceans by solid waste and sewage, with preventive and corrective actions. In this way, we understand that bringing the Dream Surf Tour to our cities encourages society to think about the ocean, as well as reinforces the commitment to contribute to the preservation of the environment”, comments Édison Carlos, President of the Aegea Institute.
The competition will be broadcast live on the CBSurfPLAY YouTube channel and will be available on Sportv from the semifinals onwards. The Dream Tour is organized by the Brazilian Surfing Confederation (CBSurf) and promoted by Dream Factory, rescuing the Main Division of the Brazilian Surfing Circuit through the Federal Government’s Sports Incentive Law, through the Ministry of Sports.
