A Samsunga global Olympic and Paralympic partner, introduces the Olympic Edition of its newly announced Galaxy Z Flip6, designed and customized exclusively for all athletes who will compete in the upcoming Olympic Games and Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition continues Samsung’s legacy of more than three decades of providing its cutting-edge technology and mobile innovations in support of the Games and brings a series of new features.
The new Paris 2024 Olympic Edition is the first to feature Galaxy AI technology. Designed to enhance the Olympic Games experience for athletes from the moment they arrive in Paris, it is the first of its kind to come with a full suite of exclusive services and useful apps pre-installed.
Additionally, this is the first time Samsung’s newest product has been made available to athletes ahead of its official market launch. The Galaxy Z Flip6 will also take center stage at the Olympic Games as the first Olympic Edition to play a key role on the podium.
It features the new compact and versatile design of the Galaxy Z Flip6, featuring a striking yellow colorway decorated with the Olympic rings and Paralympic crests in gold. To give the phone a special touch, Samsung has partnered with Berluti, the Parisian luxury men’s fashion house that designed the official attire of the French delegation for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, to create an exclusive Flipsuit case that will accompany each device. Crafted from Venezia leather, each Flipsuit case features a unique patina with a vibrant color combination inspired by the Olympic rings, celebrating the Olympic spirit and the values of excellence and unity.

Enhancing the Paris 2024 Athlete Experience with Galaxy AI-Powered Devices
Samsung’s decision to offer athletes at the Paris 2024 Games its latest addition to the Galaxy portfolio ahead of its official market launch is a testament to the pivotal role that Galaxy AI technology plays in accelerating a new era of communication, productivity and creativity on a smartphone.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition brings useful innovations to help athletes experience new things during the Games, including the following Galaxy AI communication features that will help athletes from around the world connect seamlessly while in Paris:
- Simultaneous Call Translation – translates phone calls into 16 different languages in real time, directly on the device, allowing athletes to easily communicate with Olympic Games hotlines and local contacts in their native language, using Samsung’s own app and select third-party apps.
- Interpreter – instantly translates live conversations, allowing athletes to chat with other athletes and volunteers and receive a live translation of what they are saying on screen, while still having a face-to-face conversation, thanks to the smartphone’s unique dual screen.
- Compositor – helps you compose emails and social media posts in apps using simple keywords. Specifically for social media, it even analyzes the tone of previous content, allowing athletes to more easily express their enthusiasm during some of the most exciting or memorable moments of the competition.
Athletes can also use Galaxy AI on the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition to help prepare for the Games, enhance their creativity and capture lifelong memories during their participation in Paris 2024, with features including:
- Instant Slow Motion – allows athletes to record, share and analyze their performance in slow motion, making it easier to improve their technique.
- Photography Assistant – allows athletes to take the perfect photo every time by resizing, repositioning or even removing unwanted objects from photos.
Integrated services and apps that make the Olympic and Paralympic experience fun and easy
To facilitate the use of smartphone by athletes in Paris and beyond, the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition will come with an eSIM card with 100GB of 5G data in partnership with Orange and a two-year international warranty from Samsung.
Additionally, to stay up to date with the games schedule and move around the Olympic facilities easily, several official apps from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) apps such as Athlete365, Olympic Shop, Paris 2024, Transport Accred App and the IOC hotline will come pre-installed.
Through Samsung Wallet, you will also have a pre-installed voucher in the app that entitles you to free drinks at vending machines located throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Village, together with the global partner Coca Colaand a free and unlimited access card to public transport, in partnership with Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM), so that they can travel around the city of Paris and the region.
To add a little fun and personalization to the athlete experience, the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition will also feature a suite of interactive apps themed around Paris 2024. These include PinQuest and Galaxy Experience to collect and trade real and digital pins during the games, Olympic Go!, the official Olympic game, and Galaxy Skateboard, a new game featuring the Phryges, the mascots of the Paris 2024 Games.
Sharing first-hand moments of victory on the podium
Standing on the podium at the Olympic and Paralympic Games during the medal ceremony and realizing a lifelong dream is one of the most exciting and memorable moments for an athlete. Traditionally photographed only by accredited media because athletes are prohibited from bringing personal belongings, including their cell phones, to the ceremony, this moment has always been captured from a distance and not through the lens of the athlete themselves.
For the first time in the history of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Samsung will provide the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition, which can be used on the podium at the Paris 2024 Games, so athletes can create their own memories and capture their emotions through a new victory selfie. Samsung’s unique technology will map and categorize athletes’ selfies by sport and upload them to Athlete365 in real time, allowing athletes to save and share their iconic moments with their families and fans.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition has been on display in Samsung’s Olympic Rendezvous showcases, including the one on Champs-Elysees 125, since July 12. In collaboration with the IOC and the International Paralympic Committee, athletes will receive the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition from Samsung starting July 18. The Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition is currently not available in Brazil.
