The Games will open on July 26 in Paris and will feature different broadcast formats and social media projects
With the Paris Olympics approaching, media outlets and platforms are adjusting the final preparations for different strategies and actions for broadcasting the Games and content on social media, in partnerships with brands, influencers, athletes and other personalities.
Globo is preparing multiplatform coverage to offer 100% of the Games, with diverse offers and experiences on its channels and platforms. TV Globo will closely follow the trajectory of Brazilian athletes with 200 hours of broadcast, approximately 12 hours per day.
From Monday to Saturday, ‘Central Olímpica’, after the soap opera ‘Renascer’, will present in a light and humorous way the best that happened in Paris each day, hosted by Tadeu Schmidt and Fernanda Garay, with the participation of Karine Alves, live from Paris. All of TV Globo’s programming, especially the variety and news programs, will also be in the Parisian spirit, bringing information, showing series and other content related to the Games.
Sportv will have four channels dedicated to the Games, one of which, Sportv2, will broadcast in 4K. In addition to more than 40 extra live signals on Globoplay and other operators, there will be around 16 hours of live broadcasts per day, totaling more than a thousand hours of broadcasts. Every day, after the competitions, André Rizek and Fabi Alvim will host the ‘Ça va Paris especial’, lasting two hours and featuring Marcelo Barreto live from the French capital.
On Globoplay, in addition to the simultaneous broadcast of TV Globo, Sportv channels and extra signals, the Sportv environment on the platform will feature a wide range of video on demand, with mosaics, statistics panel and calendar with notification service.
ge will also provide extensive real-time coverage, with expert analysis for each sport, guides with rules for each sport, behind-the-scenes information, competition schedules, medal tables, notable events and inspiring stories.
TV Globo, the four sportv channels, Globoplay, the ge.globo website and social networks will produce content suited to each of the platforms and audiences, with actions that also involve influencers managed by Globo.
