Agreements were made in partnership with Wieden+Kennedy SP and include broadcasts on Sportv and TV Globo
Betano is expanding its presence in women’s football and has now announced that it is the new sponsor of the Brazilian and São Paulo Championships in the category on Globo.
The agreements were made in partnership with Wieden+Kennedy SP, the agency responsible for managing the company’s brand and advertising, and include broadcasting on Sportv, which holds the broadcasting rights for the Paulistão Feminino Sicredi and Brasileirão Feminino Neoenergia, and TV Globo, which also broadcasts the national championship.
“We reaffirm our commitment to sports and to promoting women’s football in Brazil. We will be together in the Campeonato Paulista and Campeonato Brasileiro on TV. Women have been conquering their space on the national scene, year after year, with record audiences and viewership. For us, it is important to witness the expansion and contribute to the appreciation of the sport”, highlighted Betano.
The two championships are already underway but are currently on hold until August 14th due to the dates of FIFA competitions and the Olympic Games.
“Sports are one of Globo’s pillars, which is why we spare no effort to expand the diversity of broadcasts, valuing the presence of women’s championships, including for brands that associate their messages with a genre that has already shown the audience’s affection. The partnership with Betano and other brands reinforces Globo’s commitment to the sport,” highlighted Valeria Soska, Globo’s sales director.
The Brasileirão will run until September 22, while the São Paulo champions will be known on November 24.
