A Deezera global music experience platform, announces an artificial intelligence-based feature, the ‘AI Playlist’, still in the testing phase. In addition, after the latest update of the application, three other new features are coming to music streaming to make the user experience even easier.
Starting now, still in the testing phase, 5% of Deezer’s paying subscribers will be able to let their imagination run wild and create new playlists from text prompts that describe moods, genres, decades, activities and anything else that comes to mind.
“We’re excited to bring this AI-powered feature to Deezer users around the world. Whether you need the perfect soundtrack for a workout, a romantic night in or a nostalgic trip down memory lane, our AI-powered playlist feature will create a new music experience in seconds, giving you endless possibilities to easily discover new music,” said Alexandra Leloup, VP of Product at Deezer.
‘AI Playlist’ is the latest example of how Deezer is using AI to improve recommendations and the overall user experience across the platform. Other examples include Flow, where users can create a perfect mix based on mood and genre, as well as SongCatcher, which lets you recognise and save a song you don’t know the name of.
In addition, Deezer announced other new features for the app. The first is the renewal of the user profile, with the aim of making users increasingly active and engaged on the platform. Now, Deezer subscribers can choose their musical identity and connect with their friends through a new profile page.
The “explore” mode also receives new features, now recommending artists and singles that are trending based on user interactions on the platform, increasing your music library based on the choices of other subscribers.
Finally, the music quiz has a new “Party” mode, which allows you to create an online game for up to 100 people to compete in the question and answer dynamic. To do this, simply connect via QR code to participate in the experience and have fun with your friends to find out who is the greatest musical expert in the group.
The announcements made by Deezer reinforce its position of always seeking innovation within the platform to provide users with an increasingly complete and 360º experience, with the help of technology combined with human curation.
