Actions with Thaisa, Marcus D’Almeida and Guilherme Costa aim to spread the importance of mastering the English language
Open English presented the brand’s new ambassadors, who are qualified for the Paris Olympics: volleyball player Thaisa, archer Marcus D’Almeida and swimmer Guilherme Costa.
References in their sports, the athletes will highlight aspects such as the importance of bilingualism, adapting routines to achieve goals and transforming difficult moments into opportunities.
“The ambassadors are exemplary athletes in their sports and connect perfectly with our purposes. We believe that access to quality education is a powerful catalyst for positive changes in people’s lives. Our purpose is to empower students with the skills they need to succeed in their goals and live better lives. We remain determined to transform lives through education,” says Andrés Moreno, founder and CEO of Open English.
The goal of Open English’s initiative alongside athletes is to spread the word about the importance of mastering the English language in building a successful career. This year, students will have themed classes with native teachers focusing on sports vocabulary.
Last year, the platform announced striker Richarlison as its ambassador. The initiative with the Brazilian national team player involved donating R$2 million to English courses for young people associated with social projects by Gerando Falcões and Associação Nova Venécia. In May of this year, Open English launched a partnership with sailor Lars Grael., winner of two medals at the world’s biggest sporting event in the Tornado class and world champion in the Star class.
Actions with the new ambassadors will be focused on the athletes’ social networks.
