Acquisition of Gemu is part of a new positioning within the company
Los Grandes announced on Thursday (3rd) the acquisition of Gemu, a startup focused on experiences beyond games. This is the first acquisition of companies made by Los Grandes.
Startup partners Bruno Cyrillo and Ramon Wanderley will assume the positions of head of operations and finance and head of technology, respectively. In addition, another five professionals will become part of the technology team at Los Grandes.
According to Rodrigo “El Gato”, entrepreneur and founder of Los Grandes, the acquisition is part of a new positioning implemented within the organization. “The acquisition of Gemu is part of this path, which we will trace throughout the year, with new technologies that we will bring to the gaming market and with new ways of interacting with our fans”, said the businessman.
With the acquisition, Los Grandes informed that it expects to earn about R$ 40 million this year, an increase of more than 300% in relation to the previous year. “With the purchase of Gemu, we take our first step into the startup market, with the aim of becoming a technology reference within the gaming and esports scene,” said Rodrigo Terron, member of the board of Los Grandes.
