With Golden Venues, the brand wants to show that lasting moments exist everywhere
Corona, through Corona Cero, presented an activation that brought the same seats from the Paris Olympic Games to tourist destinations on four continents.
In Rio de Janeiro, the initiative, called Golden Venues, saw the benches placed on Arpoador beach. In addition to this, the brand will also have activations in eight other countries, including the Grand Peninsula Lagonissi in Athens, Greece and Café Del Mar in Cartagena, Colombia.
“From Greece, Brazil, Japan, South Africa and Argentina, Corona Cero is offering this gift to fans as an opportunity to experience the feeling of a golden Olympic moment through the Golden Venues. By bringing the same Olympic stadium seats used in Paris to these venues, we are reminding fans that golden moments don’t just exist in the Olympic Games, but also in the beauty of nature that surrounds us all,” said Clarissa Pantoja, Vice President of Corona Global.
Still in Rio de Janeiro, Corona will invite the public to participate in an experience that celebrates the competition. From July 26 to August 11, Corona Olympic Sunsets will offer tourists the opportunity to leave their routine aside to cheer on the athletes in a space that brings together sports, music, nature and well-being.
The non-alcoholic beer campaign includes a big screen broadcasting the games live from Paris, an arena with free special shows, DJs curated by Corona, activities such as yoga and outdoor sports classes.
“Over the course of these weeks, we want fans of the brand to experience golden moments at Corona Olympic Sunsets. More than just watching the games, this Corona Cero initiative is about connecting people, celebrating nature and also the brand’s philosophy of living life outdoors, in addition to promoting the perspective of partying in moderation,” explained Gabriela Gallo, head of Corona in Brazil.
