BlaBlaCar has just launched a campaign to celebrate Father’s Day. A cultural contest held on the company’s Instagram will award a year’s worth of free bus tickets, in any seat category, to fathers and their children who tell their best travel story. The campaign will be promoted by influencers, who will record videos telling their own stories with their fathers, and on a landing page.
“The campaign reflects one of BlaBlaCar’s goals, which is to encourage connections between people. Enabling users to share emotional family memories with our entire community is another step in this direction,” explains Tatiana Mattos, head of BlaBlaCar in Brazil.
To participate in the promotion, participants must be over 18 years old, follow the brand on Instagram (@blablacarbr), have a verified profile on the platform and have taken at least one bus trip or ride with BlaBlaCar. A form will be made available on the company’s Instagram that participants must access to register their stories in text.
A judging panel will choose the best story based on criteria such as creativity and originality. Participants who post videos or other media about their story on Instagram will be eligible to earn extra points. To do so, the post must mention BlaBlaCar’s profile and use the hashtag #ViagemComBlaBlaCar, in addition to the link to the post being included in the registration form.
The cultural contest will run until August 11th, at 11pm. The winner will be announced on August 13th, at 12pm, on BlaBlaCar’s Instagram. For more details about the contest and to access the rules, simply access the official landing page of the campaign.
Nationally, BlaBlaCar has partnerships with more than 200 bus companies, which offer tickets for more than 22,000 routes throughout Brazil.
