The Paris Olympic Games complete a week this Friday (2) proving, once again, that the Olympics also happen on social media. The current edition of the biggest sporting event on Earth generated more than 863 thousand mentions since its opening until last Wednesday (31).

Among the sponsors, Riachuelo and Havaianas stand out, and these brands were the most present in the conversations. Responsible for the official uniform of our delegation, Riachuelo generated discussions about the fashion choices made and the result of the look of the Brazilian athletes.
Havaianas was mentioned for its new Havaianas Brasil line and for its association with the idea of Brazilianness.
Among the athletes, the highlight goes to Jade Barbosa, a gymnast who, together with Rebeca Andrade, Flavia Saraiva, Julia Soares and Lorrane Oliveira, won bronze in the gymnastics team, Rayssa Leal, who took bronze in skateboarding and Marta, number 10 of the women’s team, who was sent off in the game last Wednesday (30) between Brazil and Spain.
Among the men, highlights include Caio Bonfim, who won silver in the race walk, and Gabriel Medina, obviously for the campaign, but also for the capture by photographer Jerome Brouillet, from AFP.
