The Te Levo Mobile transportation platform, founded by Sérgio Brito, is rapidly expanding and is projected to have revenues of R$1 million by the end of 2024. Sérgio, a former homeless person, overcame several difficulties over three years away from his family to achieve the business success he enjoys today in Araxá, Minas Gerais.
“We are already expanding. By the end of 2024, our goal is to reach a turnover of R$1 million by November. In addition, my focus now is to give back for all the opportunities I had to get here,” explains Sérgio. Now, with new plans, he intends to launch the Te Levo Mobile Culinary Academy, which will teach people how to cook and start their own business.
At the age of 18, Sérgio left Miguelópolis, São Paulo, in search of better conditions, but ended up on the streets after losing a job harvesting coffee in Itamogi, Minas Gerais. Three years later, his father found him and took him back home. Sérgio graduated in gastronomy and started working at a hotel in Araxá. With the COVID-19 pandemic, he started working as a ride-hailing driver, earning up to R$12,000 per month.
In January 2022, Sérgio launched Te Levo Mobile, which currently generates R$618 thousand per month. The platform offers health insurance, space for meals and rest to drivers, and charges a fixed fee of 12% of the trips, offering discounts to passengers. Te Levo Mobile’s average revenue is R$400 thousand per month.
