A HBO Maxin partnership with Band, announces the contest A NEW STAR FOR BRAZIL, that will reveal no program “Faustão in the Band” an actress for the cast of SECOND THOUGHTSthe first original series on the platform, which will be produced in Brazil and will also be broadcast in Latin America and other markets where HBO Max operates.
12 competitors will be pre-selected to participate in the competition on the Faustão program. The opening of registration will be announced shortly. Candidates from all over Brazil will have to send a video, lasting between 1:30 to 2:00 minutes, presenting a text of free choice and which will be previously evaluated by the HBO Max team.
Over five weeks, the selected will face off in different performance dynamics. The qualifiers will have the presence of actors who are part of the cast of the teleseries and who will also act opposite the participants. An artistic and technical jury and the audience’s vote define the grand winner.

SECOND THOUGHTSis a story of the quest for justice that takes place in the busy world of beauty and aesthetic treatments. Sofia was a child when she saw her mother unfairly arrested because of her aunt, Lola (Camila Pitanga), an ambitious and unscrupulous woman.
