Functionality allows up to 32 people to participate via FaceTime and iMessage
Streaming platform Max has incorporated the SharePlay feature into its functionality, to provide users with a new experience by allowing users to watch shows and movies together with their friends and family, through FaceTime and iMessage.
SharePlay is now available for adult profiles and across all subscription plans. Consumers who want to share their Max experience with other users in different locations can access the SharePlay experience via the “share” button located on the details page of each title on the platform and watch the content simultaneously within the FaceTime app.
Up to 32 people can join a viewing session at the same time, and all participants must have the Max app downloaded on their devices. While in a SharePlay session, participants will have synchronized playback controls, and anyone can press play, pause, rewind, and fast-forward.
