Rappi has announced an expansion of its Rappi Turbo service, already known for its convenience deliveries in up to 10 minutes. The new service, called “Turbo Restaurantes”, promises to deliver freshly prepared lunches and dinners, with an average delivery time of 15 minutes. The initiative, which is already operating in Greater São Paulo, will soon be expanded to other regions.
To make the service possible, Rappi has partnered with Habib’s Group, the largest Arab food chain in the world. With this collaboration, orders placed at Habib’s through Rappi can arrive at customers’ homes in up to 15 minutes.
Felipe Criniti, CEO of Rappi in Brazil, highlights consumer demand for quick responses: “Platform users demand increasingly faster responses to their daily needs, and restaurants with shorter delivery times are increasingly attractive to consumers. Responding to this need, we use our technological innovations to shape the future of food delivery. We chose Habib’s Group as an ally in this revolution, due to its focus on democratizing access to quality meals. We are very excited about this new development,” says Criniti.
The service was developed through a collaboration between Rappi and Habib’s, using the proximity of physical locations to speed up deliveries. The use of artificial intelligence to predict demand at the plate level means that food is ready for collection at the exact moment the delivery person arrives at the location, ensuring agility in service.
Roberto Gnypek, Marketing Director of Habib’s Group, recalls the chain’s history in the delivery sector: “Who doesn’t remember Habib’s orders in 28 minutes or the customer paying nothing? We were pioneers in delivery in 2002 and today we continue to lead this market with more than 1 million orders per month. And now, together with Rappi, we will increase sales even further and deliver orders faster, with quality products at the right temperature, at the lowest possible prices to our customers”, says Gnypek.
With more than 600 restaurants throughout Brazil, the Habib’s Group seeks to combine quality with competitive prices, serving more than 200 million customers annually.
Rappi highlights that this initiative, in addition to speeding up delivery times, can increase the productivity of restaurants and the income of independent delivery drivers. Felipe Criniti concludes by stating that Rappi Turbo’s technology allows the company to continue innovating and stand out in the global delivery market.
