From the “Beyond the Hoops” campaign, the broadcaster’s platform tells the story of the athletes who helped in the rescues after the rains
The Olympic Games are over and, over the course of just over two weeks, several athletes had the chance to fulfill their dream of participating in the competition — something that was not possible for Evaldo Becker and Pietro Tuchtenhagem.
The heavy rains that hit Rio Grande do Sul prevented the rowers from participating in the games, as they gave up their daily training to help with rescues on Ilha do Pavão, where the Rio Grande do Sul Rowing Federation and the team’s training center are located.
With this in mind, sportv launched a campaign that aims to raise funds and mobilize sports fans in the recovery of the rowing community in the southern state in the latest edition of the program “Ça Va Paris”, which aired on Sunday (11).
With the “Beyond the Hoops” campaign, people can access Globo’s “Para Quem Doar” platform and make donations.
