The 1st International Independent Advertising Festival has announced the Jury Presidents for the Digital and Influencer Marketing, Art Direction, Design and Audiovisual Production categories.
As in every edition, an International Jury, composed of more than 150 prestigious professionals from over 20 countries, will evaluate the submitted works. After this evaluation, the FePI system, through an exclusive algorithm, will grant the renowned Inodoro Pereyra Awards, inspired by the works of the characters created by the writer, cartoonist and creative from Rosario, Roberto Fontanarrosa, and specially donated to FePI.
Joffre Carmona, Founding Partner and CCO of Buentipo Anchor, will be the Jury President for the Digital and Influencer Marketing categories. With over 25 years of experience in advertising, marketing and integrated communications in the Latin American market, Joffre led Tribal DDB Venezuela, which has emerged as the most successful digital agency in the country. In 2014, he co-founded Buentipo Anchor in Colombia, which quickly became one of the fastest-growing and most effective independent agencies in the country, winning numerous awards at international festivals. Throughout his career, Joffre has worked with brands such as 3M, Ab-Inbev, Adidas, Audi, Discovery Channel, Microsoft, Renault and Movistar, among others.
In the Art Direction category, Ana Marroquín, Creative VP at Rocknrolla, will be the Jury President. With over 16 years of experience in Guatemala, Peru and Costa Rica, Ana has worked for agencies such as BBDO, Leo Burnett, FCB and Ogilvy, working for international brands such as Nestlé, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Claro and Phillip Morris. She was the first woman to hold the position of General Creative Director at a multinational in Guatemala. An Art Director by training, Ana has evolved into other roles and areas of Creative Direction, and currently leads the creative team at Rocknrolla, serving brands such as Kellogg’s, PDC Latam, Grupo Mariposa, Pepsico and CMI.
In the Design category, Paula Langie will be the Jury President. Paula is the Founder and CEO of Néktar Design, one of the most renowned design companies in the branding market in Southern Brazil. Since 2004, Néktar Design has worked with clients such as BASF, Gerdau, Yara, WRI Brasil and Unimed POA. Paula has a solid academic background, with degrees in Industrial Design, Advertising and Visual Arts, as well as a Masters in History, Theory and Art Criticism. She was a former director of the Association of Design Professionals of Rio Grande do Sul and has received several awards, including the IF Design Award, the IV Bornancini Award and the RS Columnists Award.
The Audiovisual Production category will be chaired by Merlina Scalise, Executive Producer at Huinca Cine. Merlina began her career in 2004 at Huinca Cine and, despite her background in Law, found her true passion in audiovisual production. Under her leadership, Huinca expanded internationally, opening offices in Mexico, Uruguay and Spain, as well as establishing partnerships in several Latin American countries. Merlina was also instrumental in the creation of Frsh, a network of directors focused on creative content. She is an advocate for the values of inclusion and gender equality, with a team that is predominantly composed of women.
Registration for the festival is open until August 30, 2024, and can be done through FePI’s online registration system, available on the official website fepi.com.ar. The system offers participation alternatives with progressive discounts on fees, managed by a team of coordinators who personally assist participants.
The 18th edition of the festival, whose theme is “The Digital Age”, will bring together hundreds of participants from more than 30 countries, consolidating itself as the most important independent communications event in the world.
