If you have a community loyal to Amazon, that community is the readers (the so-called bookstans). On Twitter, they are fervent and always come together to share shopping experiences and Amazon discount coupons on the network. Almost always some sleepy reader misses an opportunity or takes advantage of a shopping platform bug.
However, the reason that made them raise the Amazon tag this Monday (7) with more than 1 million tweets was another: the crazy discounts that the site promoted amid the high expectations of bookstans. As the internet is not forgiving, check out some of the reactions from consumers (who would have consumed more if the discounts were better):
What happened to Amazon?
Recently, the company faced several lawsuits in PROCON after a bug released some books for free and others with exorbitant discounts. After the purchases, the platform delivered some books and refused to complete the purchase of other customers, which caused them to cause a revolt on the networks. The likely reason for the low offers is that Bezos’ company is still in the process of recovering from the damage caused by the bug.
Another setback is the recent crisis in the book sector, with several bookstores in the country being closed and the threat of maintaining Amazon Books, the company’s physical store focused on selling the literary sector.
