Next launched an initiative to support and promote women’s e-sports, called “Ela Faz o Game”.
Co-created with Nicolle Merhy (Cherrygumms), who is an ambassador for Next, and with 3C Gaming, the project aims to boost the inclusion of women in the professional scene and invest in support and promotion activities – giving more space to names of the community.
“This project creates several opportunities and has the potential to promote a real transformation of the Brazilian women’s gaming scene. In addition to bringing championships and educational actions that will revolutionize the future, from day one we already have concrete actions that change the immediate reality of women involved in Ela Faz o Game”, highlighted Cherrygumms.
“Ela Faz o Game” has the Valkirias collective, which is made up of women in esports, and will offer training and psychological support for women gamers.
“It makes no sense for women to be left out of the esports scene. It’s past time to value Brazilian gamers. Creating a robust project like this, with concrete actions, and even with Cherrygumms, fills me with pride”, said Armando Areias. , Head of Marketing at next.
The project will be divided into three fronts, all free to the public.
The first is the “Circuito: Ela Faz o Game”, which are women’s championships with a prize pool of R$10,000, with five tournaments, from March to June and with a presentation by Cherrygumms, in addition to the participation of streamers and guest narrators for each modality of match.
The league will have four stages, all online: registration, qualifiers, group stage and finals, with simultaneous live broadcast on the Cherrygumms channel, the Valkirias Youtube channel and the guest caster of the time.
Another arm of the initiative is “Ela Faz o Game: Learn”, an action that aims to promote social impact and female inclusion in the national esports scenario through workshops and lectures given by pro players, managers, coaches and other professionals. All content will be available for free on the project’s Youtube channel and also on the website.
The last arm of the project is “Ela Faz o Game: Community”, a support network with professionals specializing in psychology, physiotherapy and nutrition to serve women in the Brazilian esports scenario for free and online.
The dissemination of the project will be done digitally, on the social networks of Next and the gamers who are part of “Ela Faz o Game”.
