“Vini Jr.: Racism in football”, “Children of Açaí” and “Family slaves” are the chosen reports
The Anamatra Human Rights Award announced the finalists for this year’s edition and Record qualified in the “Press – Television” category, with three reports produced by the channel. Under the theme “Human Rights in the World of Work”, the initiative chose “Vini Jr.: Racism in Football”, produced by Roberto Cabrini; “Filhos do Açaí”, by Mariana da Cunha Soares and Romeu Piccoli; and “Escravas de família”, by Giselle Barbieri.
The award, created by the National Association of Labor Judges (Anamatra), aims to recognize concrete actions to promote and defend human rights in labor relations. The award also includes the categories “Citizen”, “Press” (with newspaper, magazine or internet, radio, TV and photography) and “Gender, Race and Diversity”, and received 161 entries.
The winners of the 11th edition of the Award will be announced on the Anamatra website by September 17. The award ceremony will take place on December 4 in Brasília, in the Federal District.
