Denise Porto Hruby takes over from Cris Camargo
IAB Brazil has announced its new CEO, Denise Porto Hruby. The executive takes over the position from Cris Camargo, who held the position for 11 years.
The announcement is the result of a transition made over the past few months to secure the digital advertising association’s exempt position.
“Leadership of a sector organization like the IAB requires a professional capable of self-management, resilience and entrepreneurship. These are undoubtedly characteristics that Denise is well-known for. As president of the organization, I am certain that I, the entire board of directors, council and team are working together to ensure a smooth transition,” said Ana Moises, president of IAB Brazil.
With a degree in business administration from PUC-Rio, the new CEO specialized in corporate boards at Saint Paul Business School and the University of Cape Town. Before joining IAB Brazil, she was a partner at Blinks and, after leading the merger with Essence, she remained as CEO of the new organization, Blinks Essence.
Over the course of 9 years of management, having also gone through the process of selling the company to the holding company WPP, the agency grew from 20 to more than 250 employees. In addition, she has also worked for Google, both in Brazil and at the headquarters in California and, for the last 4 years, she has been on the board of PUC-Rio.
“My career in several companies has allowed me to develop a holistic view of the ecosystem, with all the nuances that the digital advertising sector demands. Therefore, I bring an analytical and unbiased view to promote best practices for and with associates,” added Denise.
