Signed by David, the campaign features nine films for open TV, OOH, radio and activation on the brand’s digital channels
Burger King has launched a campaign that connects its famous election promises with the promotion that offers two Whoppers for R$25. Created by David, the campaign uses the traditional format of election campaigns, using fictitious candidates and parties to promote the restaurant’s offer.
The strategy includes nine 15″ films for open TV, OOH, radio and extensive online activation on the brand’s proprietary digital channels, app and website, in addition to partner media outlets.
“This campaign revives BK’s genuine calling, which is to talk about important issues for society in a light-hearted and relaxed manner. We started talking about elections in the ‘Blank Vote’ campaign, which encouraged discussion about public participation in the electoral process and highlighted the importance of conscious and engaged voting. Then, we had a tactical action aimed at young people, who regularly participated in reality show voting but did not have the same level of engagement in elections. Now, in a humorous way, we return to the topic to engage the public in the municipal elections, maintaining the consistency of our promotion of two Whoppers for R$25 and taking advantage of this space to reinforce our social role in issues relevant to the country”, explains Igor Puga, vice president of marketing at Zamp, Burger King’s master franchisee in Brazil.
