The three-time surfing champion will participate in campaigns, national visibility actions, product launches and special projects
Australian Gold has announced three-time surfing champion Gabriel Medina as the brand’s new ambassador in Brazil. The brand expects the athlete to participate in campaigns, national visibility actions, product launches and special projects.
The partnership begins at a time when Australian Gold is presenting a broad portfolio of products with safe formulations for corals, in addition to being sold with packaging made from plastics removed from the coastal region, strengthening the brand’s connection with the environment.
“Surfing is already an Australian Gold territory, as is the entire aspirational side that involves the beach ecosystem: protected skin, a sun-friendly lifestyle, contact with nature and care for the oceans. Our champion Medina, one of the greatest surfers in the world, will now be our ambassador and represents this lifestyle very well. In addition to leading campaigns and special projects, Medina will be an important voice in reinforcing our commitment to protecting the skin and the sea,” says Marcela De Masi, executive director of branding at Grupo Boticário.
Australian Gold has already sponsored the World Surf League, in its editions in Brazil in 2022 and 2023, in addition to having already hired other athletes, such as Chloé Calmon, Maya Gabeira and Sophia Medina, and closed several partnerships with professionals and enthusiasts of the sport.
