To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the famous Keep WalkingJohnnie Walker arrives at Rock in Rio Brazil 2024 with exciting content starringr Djonga and Duda Beat. In the recordings, the artists told Kenya Said their steps and challenges until they performed on the festival stage, also commenting on what it is like to be part of the edition that celebrates 40 years of Rock in Rio.
Duda Beat shares the difficulties she faced as a woman and an artist, highlighting her creative boldness and the fact that she started her career later than usual. “I don’t think I’ve gotten there yet, but I’m on my way! I think it was a very brave act to start my career at 30, and that also inspires people. Our strength is also our weakness: I was already ‘old’ for this pop market, but at the same time, if I hadn’t released my album at 30, I wouldn’t have as much of a story to tell, because I hadn’t been through so much,” says the singer.
JDjonga talks about the importance of “running together”, highlighting the unconditional support of his family and community, who were fundamental in his journey. “For me, it’s always a dream, regardless of the stage, but the people who follow us feel a greater pride than we can imagine. I’ve had a tough journey, but with a lot of victories too. What makes this journey even more awesome is the presence of my friends with me. I can party with my guys without money, but with money and without my guys, I can’t,” says the rapper.
The campaign celebrates the spirit of perseverance, combining the Keep Walking message with the energy of Rock in Rio Brazil 2024. “Bringing the Keep Walking campaign to the world’s biggest music and entertainment festival is a way to honor the stories of people who have broken barriers in the world of music. Just like Djonga and Duda Beat, who paved their paths with perseverance and authenticity, we believe that Rock in Rio reflects this spirit of continuing to walk, even in the face of challenges. It is an invitation from the artists for people to follow in their footsteps alongside Johnnie Walker,” says Andrea Rubim, head by brand.
Both videos are available on the official Johnnie Walker YouTube channel and on the brand’s social networks.
For the first time, Johnnie Walker expanded its presence at Rock in Rio Brazil to reach an even larger audience, with an activation at a stand open to all attendees on the festival lawn. In addition, the whisky continues to offer its traditional experience in the VIP Area, with a bar with exclusive drinks for guests, maintaining the sophistication and quality that are trademarks of Johnnie Walker.
