The company reportedly changed the intermediary server so that the platform could start working again in the country
Alexandre de Moraes, minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), once again fined X R$5 million for the “trick” that made the social network available to Brazilians again after changing the intermediary server.
The amount also applies to Starlink, Elon Musk’s company that had its financial resources blocked to pay for the first X fines.
According to the document presented by the SFT, “an update to the X application compromised the effectiveness of the blocking previously implemented by the operators”.
In addition, Moraes also highlighted a publication that was allegedly addressed to the judge, made by Musk, as a provocation. In the post, the billionaire stated that “any sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from technology.”

In its decision, the STF determined that X must immediately suspend the use of access via CloudFlare, Fastly and Edgeuno servers, “created to circumvent the court decision to block the platform in national territory”, under penalty of a daily fine of R$5 million.
