Adidas is launching a special shirt this Friday (20) in support of Rio Grande do Sul – the date marks Gaúcho Day, a way to reinforce the pride and determination of the state’s population. All profits will be donated to renovate sports facilities affected by the climate disaster that hit the region, in partnership with CUFA.
The new launch, called Jogamos Juntos Pelo Sul, features players and coach Luiz Felipe Scolari. Athletes Analuyza França, Alan Patrick, D’Alessandro, Tamara Paranaguá and Thiago Maia are taking part in the project. This is a joint effort in which adidas invited partner suppliers to take part in the development and production of the products: Agência EA, Grupo Dass, Rialgraf and Meiuca.
“adidas has been a long-standing partner of CUFA. For us, it is extremely important to have the support of the brand and that of so many important athletes in Brazilian sports in the reconstruction of sports facilities in our state, which suffered and is still suffering with the recovery after the heavy rains that affected us,” says Kalyne Lima, president of CUFA Nacional.
The shirt will be a limited edition, with 5,570 pieces available, and will come in special packaging. The number alludes to the number of municipalities in Brazil, and symbolizes the feeling of everyone being “together for the South,” which is still being rebuilt and still needs help.
The piece is predominantly white with stripes in the colors of the Rio Grande do Sul flag on the chest. The adidas symbol and the special shield in the shape of the map of Brazil appear on the chest. The sleeves also have details in yellow, green and red.
The shirt is now available on the adidas Brazil website, in men’s and women’s versions, for R$299.99
