Deadline for X to prove legal representatives in Brazil ends this Friday

Alexandre de Moraes also applied a fine of R$5 million to the social network for circumventing the decision to keep X suspended.

The Federal Supreme Court (STF) reported that the deadline given by Minister Alexandre de Moraes for X to prove the legality of the new legal representation established in Brazil ends at 9:29 pm this Friday (19).

Moraes had given the company 24 hours to prove the reactivation of its legal representation in the country. The minister’s decision was made after the network informed the Supreme Court that lawyers André Zonaro Giacchetta and Sérgio Rosenthal will represent the company.

The minister requested that the company send registration documents to the Commercial Board and that they prove the appointment of the aforementioned lawyers to officially represent it.

In another decision made on Thursday, Moraes also fined X R$5 million. The measure was taken after the company circumvented the decision that suspended the network last month.
